Infinartum is pleased to announce its association with the highly talented and accomplished artist, Mandy Shepherd.
Mandy Shepherd was born in 1960. Her art education began at the Byamshaw, London, for a year learning the skills of drawing and observation. She then went on to study a BA Honours degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at Brighton University.
Mandy spent much of her childhood in Africa and following her degree, she returned to work in Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. During this time she gained valuable experience working with other artists, being part of a team in a leading advertising agency and being employed at The Everard Read Gallery in Johannesburg, researching and reshaping the new library. This trip culminated in her first solo show in Harare, Zimbabwe, in 1980.
Since that date, Mandy first established a studio in London and then in Chichester, where she has lived and worked for the past twenty years. Exhibitions, solo and shared, have been both national and international, however because of a constant stream of commissions from all parts of the world, Mandy manages to exhibit once every four years. Her next show is in Harrogate this Autumn.
Past commissions have come from The Parachute Regiment, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Army Air Corps, Royal Air Force of Oman, The Old Bailey, Masonic Society and various Corporations. More recently, Mandy has been very keen to paint major portraits of retiring Judges, The First Sea Lord and Lady Thatcher. She is presently working on her third book on the commissioning of HMS Daring, the first Type 45 frigate to be introduced to active service next year.
Mandy is thrilled to be back into the world of limited edition prints and introducing the first set of prints with Infinartum will add yet another dimension to her portfolio.
