Infinartum is pleased to announce the release of three new prints from Dominique Salm. The Parents, A Quiet Moment and I'm Listening are all Giclée prints on Somerset Enhanced Velvet 330gsm paper, signed by the artist and limited editions of 240.
Dominique has always had a love of painting from an early age and always aspired to being an artist. Winning a primary school competition to design the front cover of the sports day brochure was probably a great starting point.
It was her love of animals and her empathy towards them that drew her close to her chosen subjects. Having been brought up in a house in the country full of animals, subject matter was never an issue. Dominique saw her own personality reflected in those of her dogs in particular, and it was this aspect which she strove to capture, ie slightly barking! This remains her ambition with each and every subject to date, capturing the ‘human’ side of the animal.

The Parents
Ostriches obviously don't actually shout, but you can see them barking at the two youngsters who have the glazed expressions of those being told off.

A Quiet Moment
These interesting looking birds can appear so serene when they are not making a racket!

I'm Listening
I love the way zebras cock their ears in a casual yet highly interested manner.
