Infinartum is pleased to announce the availability of Pencils Patience and Primates by David Dancey-Wood.
March 2007 saw the release of David Dancey-Wood’s first book “Pencils Patience and Primates” published by Hawksbill Fine Art. The book is hardback and in coffee table format, 187 pages long with over 100 illustrations in both colour and black and white.
For the first time ever, the work of wildlife artist David Dancey-Wood has been collected into this single volume.
Pencils Patience and Primates opens a portfolio of his work demonstrating the wide range of his subjects, some of which have not been available before to the general public. Along with superb reproduction of his pictures, he gives a remarkable account of his struggles, successes and dreams for the future. Tracing a line through from early childhood encounters with pencils and animals to jungle adventures, it captures something of the drive behind this wildlife artist.
Below are a few of the comments Dancey-Wood has received in response to the release of Pencils Patience and Primates.

Tom Macarthy - The International Snow Leopard Conservation Trust
"Artists and scientists share a role in shaping people's view of the world, especially in the fields of wildlife art and conservation. David Dancey-Wood is unique in that he is both exceptional artist and compassionate conservationist. His art compels us to save them all, from the tiny harvest mouse to the snow leopard."

David Shepherd O.B.E.
"As someone who works in oils and colour, I am astonished at the dramatic impact that David's drawings have, whether of a human face or a hippo. With such a diversity of subjects, his work is of outstanding quality and deserves to be recognized. I am sure that this book will go a long way to achieve this aim. I wish it every possible success."
